Got invited by a Persian friend to this restaurant, supposed to be one of the best Persian food in LA. To be honest everything was really good, but we couldn't finish especially the rice because the portion was really big.
This place is amazing. I got the Soltani Kabob and Koobideh (Luleh Kabob) for my entrée, and everything was so good. The flavors were on point, the rice was perfect, and pairing it with the hummus really elevated the whole dish.
Five stars and honestly if I could give it more I would. We came to Raffi’s Place and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made the entire trip. Let me start with the koobideh because that’s the real test of any Persian restaurant. If you can’t get the koobideh right nothing else matters. Raffi’s gets it right. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, that char on the outside with the softness on the inside that only comes from someone who has been doing this a very long time. This wasn’t good koobideh. This was the koobideh. The one you’ll be thinking about on the plane ride home. The soltani was even better if that’s possible. That combination of koobideh and barg together on one plate with the rice and the grilled tomato, everything working together, nothing competing. Just a perfect plate of food. Simple, honest, executed at the highest level. The service matched the food which is rare. Our server was attentive without hovering. Checked on us at the right moments, gave us space when we were talking, made us feel like guests not customers. When they found out it was our anniversary there was a warmth to the whole experience that felt personal, not rehearsed. The atmosphere tied it all together. Clean, elegant, not trying to be something it’s not. Just a beautiful restaurant that knows exactly what it is and does it better than anyone else. If you’re anywhere near Glendale and you love Persian food, this is the spot. No debate.
Great Dishes! I took Kashke bademjan and it tasted like heaven! For main dish, I strongly recommend Soltani! It was awesome! Texture and taste was exactly what I expected! Don't forget Falloodeh or Sonati for dessert!
Raffi’s Place is easily one of our favorite Persian restaurants in California. Even though it’s about a 1-hour drive from our place, we still go there very often because the food is absolutely worth it. Their kebabs are amazing and honestly some of the best quality Persian kebabs we’ve had outside of Iran. The flavor, meat quality, and charcoal taste are very comparable to the really good kebab places inside Iran. The koobideh, barg, and Soltani are all excellent, and the rice and grilled tomatoes are always on point. You can tell they care about consistency and quality
Our entire dining experience was so enjoyable here! We tried several appetizers and salads. Every dish was fresh and flavorful and absolutely delicious. They are really busy and there are long wait times but the food is definitely worth it.
The first item served is a beautiful plate of herbs and vegetables which bring the most delightful aroma to the table. I've never been served fresh basil along with hummus and flat bread; brilliant! The soltani kabob, and chicken boneless were perfectly cooked. The rice only added to the glory of the meal. I do recommend the shirazi salad. This is a must try! I will be revisiting again soon.
I had dinner at Raffi’s Place in Glendale on Memorial Day and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The service was attentive, friendly, and efficient even with how busy it was. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish we tried was delicious. The atmosphere was also warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for a relaxed dinner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be coming back again.
